Death metal and girls who like it?!
Question: So I'm kind of wondering if there are many women out there into death metal (or grindcore, whatever). I see a lot of people saying, "Oh, I love Slipknot and Tool!" .. I don't see how either of those are anything more than nu-metal. I'm thinking someone who likes Necrophagist or Beneath the Massacre. Sure, Cannibal Corpse is okay too I suppose. Just wonderin'....

I love Death Metal and I'm a girl. I'm not a fan of anything to do with 'grind' or 'core' though, simply because it all sounds the same and it doesn't take much talent to bash the drums as fast as you can or play a whole lot of chords as fast as you can.
Necrophagist are awesome and Cannibal Corpse are Death Metal legends.

Yeah there are a few true female Metal fans who like true Metal. I have a few on my contacts. I understand about the Nu Metal part, its annoying when people think Nu Metal is the most br00tal type of Metal. Lol.
I have never really known a girl that likes Death Metal. Beneath the massacre you'll find anywhere because it's being marketed in mainstreem media. Plus Beneath The Massacre is not Death Metal or Grindcore. It's Deathcore (sucks). Sure who doesnt know Corpse or Necrophagist (sucks), try asking who likes Obituary, Monstrosity, Death, Malevolent Creation, Deeds Of Flesh, Origin, Old Fuenral, and grindcore bands such as Extreme Noise Terror, Napalm Death, Terrorizer, Brutal Truth, (early) Carcass. Sorry i tend to stray off at times.

Yeah those are the true ones. I know them because I used to listen to them. They're sick!!! But I do not listen to them anymore. Let's just say I expanded my horizons a bit and mellowed down. But yeah, it would be quite surprising to know a female who dig those music. I mean, feminine females!!!
I'm not sure what "group" these fall into. I like a variety of metal. This is some of the stuff I like.
Arch Eneny (I think she is awesome), DevilDriver, Hatebreed, Killswitch Engage, Lamb of God, Children of Bodom, Demon Hunter, The Haunted, Trivium, In Flames, Mastodon, Poison the Well, Soilwork, Bury Your Dead, The Black Dahlia Murder, Nile, Immortal, God Forbid, Morbid Angel, Bloodsimple, Bleeding Through, Motograter, Kindom of Sorrow, As I Lay Dying, Emperor, God Dethroned, and many more.
There are a lot of good bands out there. I listen to something and I either like it or I don't. I guess it's hard to explain.
I know these probably aren't death metal, but I enjoy listening to them.
First off, Tool started before Nu- Metal.
Second, alot of girls I know love death metal almost as much and even more than guys. I had a girl neighbor who was a singer for a goregrind band and she did some pig squeals that were better than alot of guys. It really depends on what person likes death metal, some people don't go beyond Korn or Evanescense for harder bands, than I know people who say Napalm Death are too sofy
I'm one of those chicks who love Death metal!! I like a lot of the death metal I grew up with like Morbid Angel, Slayer, Deicide, Cradle of Filth and the like. Today's death/black metal kicks a*s, too!
Metal has evolved into so many different genres I no longer try to keep pace.
I still like the angry blasts of Amen, but don't even know how to classify them. "We Have Come For Your Parents" is a masterpiece.
ME!!!..... I'm more into Thrash and Metalcore, but I do like Death Metal alot. My alltime favorite deathmetal band is Obituary. They are f_ckin bada.s.s.
