I haven't played it in a while, but I really like Steve Hackett's 'The Tokyo Tapes'. I don't know if any of it was 'overdubbed' (which DOES happen a lot on 'live' albums) but you got John Wetton & Ian McDonald joining him onstage and did a pretty good setlist of stuff covering all of their histories. He also released a 'Live Archive' multi-show set, and one of them (the 2 disc 70's show on it - I don't recall when/where it was) really stood out to me.
As far as 'unofficial' stuff - I often find that to be much better. (You'd be surprised at how many bands are totally cool about their live shows being shared [but NEVER bought/sold on Ebay/etc] provided you aren't a freeloader & support their official product). A favorite show of mine is the Genesis show from the Lyceum (London) in May 1980.
