MY guitar strings!!!!!! please help! steel or others!?!
Question: ok i just got a acoustic guitar and i am realy into playing it but i got steel strings. and it is like REALLY hurting my fingers when i play and when i play chords iti s hard for me to push all of them down. do you think i should stay with these strings to just get my fingers stronger or should i get the less hard strings??? how long does it take to get callices on your fingers?? please i need help!! because sometimes my fingers bleed alitle but i can feel alittle callises coing but how long does it take till i feel tnothing PLEASE HELP!

well man, its not really your strings. This happens to alot of people when they start out. When i started out i had the same problem on the bass guitar.. but trust me man.. in about 1-2 months if u play some everyday it will not bother you anymore. But heads up. Even me playing daily my fingers get alil swore so its not like calluses is a going to save your life. Welcome to the joinery of the guitar and i wish you luck at it.

when i started playing my fingers hurt a lot as well.
i don't think bleeding is normal, though.
you may be doing something wrong...
give it a rest...then go back.
Don't go mad take it easy ....but don't give up
Stay with the big strings and hard action because when you get a better guitar it will all feel so much easyer
