Which Version of Dispatch's "The General" is better?!

Question: The 8:09 live version, or the 4:07 version from the album Bang Bang?

I am looking to buy it from itunes, and would appreciate any input. I only have a dollar left my gift card. So I can only get one of them.

What's the actual difference between the two songs? Why is the live version twice as long?

I've only heard the shorter version, so I can't be as much help as I'd like. I trust you've previewed it on youtube (I know ONE version is there).
Since you LIKE it though, why not get the longer one, then you can cut it off when you tire of it? That makes sense to me.

Thanks, and I value your opinion as well. As a DJ, my audiences SEEM to enjoy live tracks for that "concert" feel, and there are certain songs that make me literally tingle hearing a live cut of something I've HEARD in concert. Report It
