So what's the difference between...?!

Question: A fender strat and a tele?

Answers: A fender strat and a tele?

i like to use a strat for rhythm more and teles for solos, teles have that raw cutting edge kick to its tone, strats are eye candy

dont get me wrong, strats are amazing guitars though if you were to choose between the 2 id say a strat because it has range of what styles of music it can play

body shape, neck shape and sound.

dont know

A little different tone wise. The volume of wood on the body makes a different and the tele has more wood on it's body. The Strat is thinner and has a lot of wood cut out for the pick-ups, electronics, and tremolo. The tele doesn't have all that so it'll give you a thicker, heavier sound. The Strat though will come with a tremolo.

Both are extremely versatile guitars though but the tele is going to be simpler. The Tele's usually have two pick-ups (neck and bridge) and you can select each one independent or blend the two together. There is also usually one tone knob for both pick-ups.

Standard Strats have three pick-ups (neck, bridge, and middle). They also have two tone knobs for front and back pick-ups. Some Modern strats will also have a button that will kick the back pickup on. This allows you to blend the bridge and beck pick-up together like a tele.

In the end, it comes down to the style of music you play. I'd say overall the modern Strat guitars are extremely versatile for any style of music you'd go after. I think if you play Blues, the strat would be the required choice of the two.
