Need help with my song?!
Question: I wrote lyrics to a song that i believe has potential. the problem is, i dont know how to write music for it. i have the computer software music creator 4 but have no clue how to use it. any ideas or tips? thanksa

Do you know any music theory? I would try to learn some of the basics, then get one of those electronic keyboards and sit at it and bang out some melodies. Once you have some ideas in mind about what you want it to sound like, move on to the software.
Also there's tons of music out there - do you want your song to be rock and roll, or soft pop or inspirational or what? Find a couple songs that you want it to sort of sound like and get the sheet music. This will give you some ideas.
You might have to know how to write/read music first. Good luck.
do you know any guitarists? when i write songs (lyrics) i usually as my dad who plays guitar if he can match the notes with chords... if you have any friends who play guitar, it would be a help.
I don't have any tips with the software, but if you have a piano or keyboard, I may be able to help you. You know how you want your song to be sung, so fool around with the piano with different notes. Try a note, does this sound like the first note in your song? If so, write it down. If not, try another note, the same note in a higher octave, ect. Using this trial and error method, you'll soon have all your notes. Then, you can make the sheet music on the computer and coordinate it with the words. Hope I was of help and good luck and good fortune! Happy lyrics!

Go to a music store and ask a sales person or client, , buy the full version next time rather than getting boot legs so it comes with instructions or visit the website for download
