It was a really good album, yes. The first album was really a groundbreaker though.
no his blues album was much better.
not the best. not even Jimi's best.. although it was very good
'Are you experienced' was better
I'm with you, a landmark album.
Hey Joe, Cross Town Traffic, Rainy Day - Dream Away.
No he died before his best could be recorded.
Best album by Hendrix? Possibly. There are many other contenders for best album ever.......
Physical Graffiti
Machine Head
Wish You Were Here
etc. etc.
It's ALWAYS a matter of opinion, but I will throw in my own: The little noted "Rainbow Bridge" was my personal favorite.
"Hey Baby/New Rising Sun," Pali Gap," "Room Full of Mirrors," Dolly Dagger," and "Drifting" are some of my favorite works from it.
Good? yes
Best ever? i dont think so
Too many other classics to even choose a "Best" one.
Dark side of the moon?
Whos Next?
Allmans live at the Fillmore?
I could name a hundred more.
How do you choose a "Best"?
never heard the album, so I can't so yes or no.
Of his 5 officially released albums during his lifetime it was the best,,,
'Moon, Turn the Tides.... gently gently away'
is a GREAT song.
however...in my humble opinion, anything jimi did with more blues roots is a better listen for me.
Nope!
It's Woodstock for me !
Nothing Jimi Hendrix recorded should be considered "the best"!
Sorry Hendrix fans, but MOST people under 50 don't consider feedback and distortion to be talent.
