I loved it once I bought it from Itunes
I loved the message it was sending out...Sarah's trying to go against to grain of pop culture and stuff (supposedly)
An hour later she's on the 2nd most popular song on Itunes
A day latter she's playing at American Eagle (mind you I wouldn't step in such a lowly place...it was just annoying blasting into the club monaco o_O)

i would say the first time the song hits the radio/tv about 30 seconds into the song.
i know what you mean with sara bareilles.
i'd been listening to her since the cd itself released in july and her songs have a lot of meaning.
now that she hit radio/tv/music video...everyone thinks they know everything about her, just like with every band or singer, and they sing the song aloud while skipping or whoring themselves off.
