What is your take on subliminal messages, or satanic messages in songs playing b!

Question: Such as Led Zeplin's Stairway to heaven, or queens another one bites the dust.

Answers: Such as Led Zeplin's Stairway to heaven, or queens another one bites the dust.

The "backwards messages" pretty much began with the Beatles' "Revolution #9," which, when the words "number nine" were played backwards, sounded like "turn me on, dead man," a "clue" that "Paul was dead."

I have never subscribed to the subliminal message theory, for one simple reason. In rock and roll (and I'm not saying this to be judgmental, just stating a fact), you cannot find one thing that has NOT been said in the lyrics when the records is played CORRECTLY. We have "Sympathy for the Devil" by the Stones and "Friend of the Devil" by the Grateful Dead, not to mention all sorts of drug references ("Cocaine," "One Toke Over the Line," "Life in the Fast Lane," etc.) and all other sorts of "evil things." So, if the artists aren't ashamed to say it right out loud in the lyrics, why would they even NEED to make a "subliminal message" backwards?

Also, considering that vinyl doesn't exist very much anymore and you cannot play a CD backwards, how can any "subliminal message" be heard anymore?

It's all made up by people who have way too much free time.

i think its just a coincidence and people could edit it to say whatever they want

its not real, seriously

i'm not even gonna answer that.come on.......get with the programme

some people are just can't get over stereotyping <include some church priests>

Stupid. People who believe there are messages in a song played backwards need professional help. I personally don't hear voices like that. Maybe they are possessed and need an exorcism.

If I'm that weak then I have bigger issues in life. I try to enjoy the music & I forget about the rest. It's interesting as an adult to see one of my kids eyes bug out over it & try to reproduce the effect. It's one of those interesting but not overly important to us things. The songs are usually awesome ones so if it works they can keep on doing it!

i think that in some songs it is made to be there and in others it is accidental unrelizable when being made like Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds-The beatles i really dont belive it was intentonaly made to spell out LSD.

its fake.

I can give you my take with three words, "Load Of Crap."

Its either edited, or its the power of suggestion. If people want to hear something, they can. FAKE

it's fake...everybody wants to think that it's real but it's fake...

I think you could devote more time in trying to find out why John Carpenter's "They Live" has such a limited release..Talk about subliminal messages.
