I hate rap and I know why does it make sense???!
Question: I actually hate rap now, but thinking back I loved it as a kid From the days of Houdini and Run DMC all up untill The Death of 2 Pac, Loved his music and thought of him as The Rap ambassador of minorities in California, Honestly I always blammed the East Coast for his death and when they took over the rap scene after his death and all they seemed to play was east coast rap. I said F*CK RAP! alltogether.Some say it was Suge Knight, But I dont know I always felt Biggie and that idiot Walking dead man puffy combs had enough reason to do it.After that I got into Rock and havent looked back, Rage Against the Machine, Tool, Korn, and so on and so forth and none of this faggy Emo garbage though.Does that make any sense to anyone???

yes your view makes sense, their not racist either. personally i don't like all the new stuff, t-pain 50 Cent etc. Nobody seems to be singing bout anything real in the rap scene anymore, its basically all the sex, drugs and girls cliche which is really unfortunate for some of the real ones who were these guys pre-decessors. It puts me off, there are a few exceptions but yeah not a fan.
As for rock, the emo scene has to be one of the most annoying things ever, an excuse for a fashion culture to evolve around crappy bands who are out of originality and want a bit of fame [paramore etc]. This last sentence will be debateable but I'd like to add, i believe HIM, My chemical romance, green day and a few others are not emo, although the fashion cults [scene kids?] say otherwise it's tragic really, trashing music scenes with appearances, very tragic.
It does not have to make sense it is your personal preference.

You are too well informed to hate rap. I think you love it but are having trouble seperating the ugly politics of it from the beauty of it. An artist makes music, egos make politics. ignore the egos, enjoy what you like for it's beauty and nothing else.
korn is cool and so is rage against the machine. but come on man can you really hate old skool rap? RUN DMC ? and 2pac?? come on man you cant hate it all.. it has/had its good parts as well as its bad.

Well...it does make sense because I really only listen to rock/alt more than ever these days. I still listen to rap though just not as much. I've said it before you just have to know where to look and unfortunately these days you have to look a bit harder to find GOOD hip-hop/rap. Sounds to me like you just fell out of love with it. Its quite alright. I know what you mean.
I feel you. There is no really good rappers out there and some people say that Lil Wayne is the best rapper alive yeah right. It seems like when we lost PAC and biggie we lost rap some people were good but now its just shake yo azz but yeah you make sense to me

I hate rap because it's boring, repetitive and unintelligible garbage most of the time from ignoramuses with English as a second language and angst as their first. I'd rather eat my own underpants than listen to rap.
