Triumph / Rick Emmett / Eric Clapton fans...?!

Question: This legendary guitarist is currently on his 'Rick Emmett Plays Eric Clapton' tour. I just bought tickets a few minutes ago for his February show. It's a great little venue...a community centre which holds around 250. I saw Johnny Winter there last year...front row!
Are there any other fans of Rick out there? Will you be going to this show? I know he's touring Canada...not sure about the US though.

Hi Smiley..

well I heard little Triumph songs...I know they are from Canada but maybe they never made a super band and worldwide success because of Rush.

Of Clapton I know much, much more.
He is one of my favorite guitarists EVER.
When I hear him play the blues is the times I think of esoteric stuff, as I really believe he was from Georgia or Alabama in some past life. The guy plays and sings blues like an African/American...I think he is BB King's next of kin... spiritually. I'll ask a question now related to that....

good night now my friend and sweet dreams are made of these...

edit to Smiley..

very impressive ! Tomorrow I'll check out his stuff in Itunes and than order a CD from my record store!! Also he seems a nice guy, in the picture he looks like a son of actor Nick Nolte, but with a softer expression.

Rick is tremendously talented as a singer, player and songwriter. But Triumph, which gave him two good players to encourage his writing, was clearly is best vehicle.
He should be playing his own songs.

Love Rik Emmitt...Huge Triumph fan (As You know)
Unfortunately I doubt He will get anywhere near here.
I just wish Triumph would get back together and do a reunion tour. I haven't seen them in over twenty years

I saw him with Triumph twice back in the 80's and twice solo. Once in outdoor venue in Fall River, MA & Newport Blues cafe in Newport, RI. Great guitarist but personality sucks. In the newport show there was maybe about 150 people. very small setting and at the end of the first break we approached him for an autograph and he couldn't be bothered. I don't know, 150 people you think he would of been appreciative
