Why do you think white guys like to imitate black gangsta talk?!

Question: do you think white guys talking like a black thug is just being trendy to impress the "cool kids"?

or do you think they have a real goal of becoming a real thug?

Some poeple are just attracted to a different culture than their own.

I don't know, but seriously do think its sad.I think they feel they have no sense of identity like they feel it makes them look more threatening, when really your just something for me and my friends to point and laugh at. Jamie Kenedy Mali-bootay!Yallz!

I think they do it as a joke.
That's why I do.

if they are trying to act as a black guy , then they are losers.

if they are just sayn it as a joke then theyre racist.

I really don't see the need for anyone to talk "gangsta". I think it sounds foolish. I don't care what color skin you have, you can speak proper English unless you have a speech impediment.

everybody is looking for a hero. people want to be looked up to. this as whitney houston said in a song.

so people will do whatever they in their own mind makes them feel special and important.

Because they grew up in that trailer park in harlem.

Same reason they used to imitate Mobsters.

It is just the "Bag Guy" image they are trying to obtain.

i hate when guys do that. its not attractive.

they think the young girls like it when they talk that way

I think they do it because they think its funny; because honestly speaking in Ebonics sounds just funny to me.

They think that way they can hit the gals...

You don't have to be black to be a thug. Talk is TALK... period.

....because they are spoiled suburban kids who need jobs or a life...unless acting like K-Fed became cool when no one was looking...

BOTH!
some ppl do it to be funny...so fine.
or u can be like my cousin, who thinks he's gangsta at heart...
wow...kinda like B-rad from Malibu's Most Wanted...
but seriously, i just want to tell him "COME ON!"

ALSO...eminiem...ooh he's too real to be imitating=) lol

because white kids have no preconceived social identity to fall back on, and many are too insecure to be themselves. so they try to find one. (urban "black", goth, punk, emo, prep, jock, ect..)

I can safely say I have never heard white guys talk like that, then again I don't know anyone men with identity crisis issues like being a wigger, if anything they think its funny to talk like a hick by smoking a ciggerate and cussing at the same time,

anyone using Ebonics/"black slang" isnt a thug in my opinion. if i say BA BOOM BA BANG a lot does that mean i aspire to be an Italian mobster? NO! lol anyways most likely they just want to sound cool.. but if that person has grown up around people that use that kind of slang then they will start to use it as well. bottom line is butchering the English language is not sexy or cool.

not all white guys are like that and im not saying all black guys are gangsta 1st off and 2nd people want to be someone they are not!! its sad to see some punks wanting to like a thug when they could be doing something great in life other than being someone they aren't!

Chairman Meow said it all; I think white children and teens try to attach themselves to social identities based on what's around them. I have nothing else to add.

awesome question. it really is ridiculous.

no its cuz theyre trying to impress us babes by acting like gangstas who usually get us, not them!

cuz theyre rich spoiled brats and got nothin else to do but act like that to attempt one night stands

People just want to be more urbanized

how do you know they dont talk like that? you dont know them, they could be from the hood. people say i talk black cause ive been in a black neighborhood since i was 3, im 18. i dont hear it when i talk but people say i do. you cant judge somebody on what they do in public till you know them.

Because I have been using slang words for a long time like "tight" and "ill" and other words with my black friends, but when I'm with my white friends I don't use them as much. It just depends on who I'm hanging out with at the time. I don't see a problem with using slang at all.And no, I don't think I'm a thug, and I know I'm white, so don't slam me. Peace.

all wanna b's

first off this is a very ignorant question ''black thugs'' stereotyping hard dog thats teh same kind of thing that gets us looked at as nothing more than mindless educationless people u could've thought this question through much better before asking it this was a true insult to me seeing as how i grew up around what ur calling ''black thugs'' i suggest u stay in school and if ur not in school go back cause u need a serious culture lesson
