Who thinks Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness is one of the best albums?!
Question: definitely the best pumpkins CD and definitely one of the best of the '90's--maybe the best----what other band can put together ONE cd that is start to finish with all good songs yet alone TWO!!!!--and the range is unbelievable, heavy songs like "bodies" to slow acoustic songs like "stunbleine".. anyone who says Gish or siamese Dream is better is on crack!!

It's definitely the Pumpkins' best album. But I wouldn't go so far to say that it's one of the best albums of all time (if that's what you mean).
There are some good tracks on Mellon Collie, but I don't think it's the Pumpkins' best by a long shot.
For that I go to Gish or Siamese Dream.
It's a great album for sure, one of the Pumpkin's best...but I like Siamese Dream the best. =)
Siamese Dream is my favorite. With the song Rocket from that one of my favorite songs.
I don't know... comparing Mellon Collie to other CDs is tough since it's a 2-disc release. There's a lot of good material on it, but it's bound to have more standout tracks than a 1-disc release. For me, Siamese Dream is the best SP single disc out there.

Rotten Apples is purtty awesome but i don't think you'd really constitute that as an album, since it's a Greatest Hits...

I think its the greatest Smashing Pumpkins album
Far from it. It has some really good tracks but I think a lot of filler was added to make it a double album. Gish and Siamese Dream are way better than Mellon Collie.
Not only is it NOT one of the best albums of all time, but it's not even close to being the best in the Smashing Pumpkins catalog. Gish and Siamese Dream were far better.
Its one of my favourite albums ever; tonight, tonight is such an amazing song.

Yeah i agree. I really love the album and it is my favorite of theirs. Most of my Pumpkins songs come from the album. Thirty-Three is my favorite song
i agree, best by smashing pumpkins, but not best of all time.
I like the album, but I don't think it is a best album... I personally don't even think that it is the Pumpkin's best album. I guess it is all subjective really.
