What is the name of this Beethoven classic?!
Question: I think it is one of his symphonies but not sure. The best clue I have is that it starts off with a bang and it is high-tempoed

it might be the second movement of symphony 9....it has a big bang right after a soft start of strings
uhm. im going to take a total random guess and say : Ode To Joy? that's originally by beethoven.
beethovens classic fifth symphony?
symphony #9
It's hard to tell from "it starts with a bang" but Beethoven's violin concerto begins with a "bang" from a drum. If it's still available to you, listen to see what instruments are playing. If any one instrument stands out, like a piano or violin, it's a concerto. Beethoven composed 5 piano concerti and only one violin concerto. If many instruments seem to be playing at once then it could be one of his 9 symphonies. The 9th has a great deal of choral music in the final movement - that's a dead giveaway. Enjoy. Check out other classical music, as well. There is a geat variety because of the many forms and because music changed over the years from renaissance to modern. Your public library has a bunch of CDs that you can check out and check out.
That is most likely Symphony No.3 "Eroica." It starts of with a pair of "bangs" in opening Allegro con brio.
"--------it starts off with a bang and it is high-tempoed".
A agree with one of the above responders: probably the first movement of his excruciatingly famous "5th Symphony".
