Rap & Hip Hop fans: What do you think about Metal music?!

I just wanted to ask from a Rap & Hip Hop's fan's point of view what they think about Metal music.
What are your likes and/or dislikes about it? And do you like it to a certain extent?

i got nothing against it
its just i dont like their image it isnt me i was wasnt raised listening to that kind of music
i also dont like people using god as a bad example in songs
but its still cool,everybody has a right to like what they want(=

metal fans would come here from time 2 time and diss out our music
just because hip hop is taking over

i mean to be honest its too harsh for me the instrumentals to it are harsh on teh ears so i dont listen to it
its not very lyrical to me
and the guys screaming at teh top of theirs lungs doesnt help me either but i mean i wont diss it u know its just not my taste of music
i dont rully lissin to it but i gess its cool in its own way
but its the metal people hatin on hip hop fans

i like rock,jazz and anything with smooth instruments. I like instruments and stuff but from the metal i've heard they kind of give me a headache. It just makes alot of noise i guess. From what i've heard, i hear too much screaming to the point that it gives me a hadache also. But if you have some good metal music that aren't mainstream you can send me some. I guess i like my instruments to be played smoothly and to hit my ear drums smoothly and from the metal that i've heard it doesn't do that for me.

My ex was really into metal - stuff like Fantomas, Mr Bungle and The Jesus Lizard. It's not really my kind of sound, but I did learn to appreciate it a bit more when I was going out with him.
I used to have the same reaction to it that a lot of metal fans probably have to hip hop ("How the hell is THAT music??!!), but I've realised now that there is a lot of talent involved. So, although it'll never be the music I go out of my way to listen to, like anything that's got integrity and doesn't sell out, I do have respect for it.
I don't quite know what's mainstream or underground in metal but I like Anthrax, Helmet, and System Of A Down. Yeah SOAD, is mainsteam but it's not about mass appeal, it's about quality.
I'm sure you'll get some bad answers. I'm not into a lot of metal because I just haven't taken the time to explore it more.
I'm more of a hardcore punk fan.
my moms husband is in a heavy metal band called "Sanctum" so i respect it for that....but u couldn't get me to listen to it.....
it really sux i hate it cuz its not even worth listenin to but dats my opinion.................
Just to hard for me. Not my cup of tea. But I'll never knock anybody for their taste in music. I do enjoy alternative rock though.
I'm all about lyrics. If the song has good wordplay, a message, or a story behind it... Then I'm all for it.
Sorry, there are types of music I could never and will never get into: Metal, Country and Opera. it sucks. Just my opinion....
not anything from this milenium but i like some older stuff like
hendrix & santana. idk if thats metal though :)
some early Iron Maiden is cool. when i first heard them i was like, "this is intense."
i liked System of a Down when they first got popular
and i like some Metallica stuff
Metal is stupid they be screaming and I don't even know what they be saying.
