Depends on what type of Rock you mean...
Metal Rock: Beast and the Harlot by Avenged Sevenfold because of the insane guitar playing.
Christian Rock: There is No One Like You by David Crowder Band because of good singing and lyrics.
Classic Rock: Stairway to Heaven by Led Zepplin because, i mean, come on, Zepplin is awesome.
Punk Rock: Holiday by Green Day because everything in that song is good, the instruments, the singing, the lyrics (not that i'm against america. I love my home country) and etc.
Alternative/Punk : I'm Not Okay by My Chemical Romance because sometimes you don't feel good about yourself and you can relate to this song.

my favorite rock song not from either of those bands is boulevard of broken dreams by green day...I listen to it when I'm upset because that's how I feel and it tends to make me feel better....even though nothing can make me feel better like mcr does
Favorite alltime song? "Everything Is Alright" by Motion City Soundtrack. It's about a relationship with ADD and my boyfriend has ADD so it's like really special to us. Plus MCS rox!!!!!!

I'm gonna go with Don Henley's "Boys Of Summer." And on a side note, the recent remake (by The Ataris, I think) was really good as well. It's rare that a remake is anywhere near as good as the original (see: Don McLean's American Pie getting trashed by Madonna), but I thought the Ataris did a really good job and captured the essence of the song while putting their own sound into it.
Tongue Tied by Faber Drive. The music is incredible and the lyrics are something I can relate to. It's about liking a person but they had to leave and you couldn't find the right words to make them stay. Let me know if you're interested in listening to it but need help finding it.
