Question: yo, time to bust a flow, don't you know?

Answers: yo, time to bust a flow, don't you know?

No, rap isn't dead yet, but there are a lot of young, misguided souls who are slowly but surely killing it for the love of money.

rap aint dead! crayzie! its jus gettin started!

well...lets say its in a koma...because of ppl like soulja boy, a bay bay shyt whuteva....

N people like Lupe, Nas, Phat Kat, Pharoahe Monch, Mos Def, Common, Kanye and Talib are the doctors...trying to wake it up...
N I belive they gon make it

hellllll no.
I used to love it then hate it and now i'm obsessed.

No way baby...rap doesnt die...it's "undying"

I hope so.

I certainly hope so! Let's return to real songs with understandable lyrics! (see "The Great American Songbook" for examples of what I mean.)

no rap is not dead it has to be the best music out there there are a lot of new albums coming out by unknown people and they just haven't made it to the charts yet

It's starting to die. Sales are dropping tremendously. Especially with disney kids like Hannah Montana out there with their over-produced voices taking up all the charts

I think rap had its time, and now it's over. But I'm pretty sure it'll come back eventually. Because music likes to repeat itself. Each music genre has its own era.. There are just certain stages when genres are bigger than the other.

no its callled "hip hop" not rap, rap is breathin real good in music but "hip hop" is dead and thats real talk

Since I've been listening to people like...
KRS-One
Talib Kwali
Rakim
& others
...it's not dead yet :)

Not dead, but having some major identity crisis right now. Check back when all the youngsters get a clue.

if you know what to listen to its not dead, just more underground.

no people say hiphop his dead b/c the music has no quality then you'll find those same people in the club dancing to it or bobbin there head in the car to it so no hiphop isnt dead far as im concerned

no, rap isnt dead. its just not in its best times
but people like

krs one, common, jay z, kanye west, nas and lupe fiasco are probably the only rappers out there who dont always rap about naked girls and money.

I'll Tell Ya all The Truth,, RAP IS NOT DEAD the Reasons are all around us from Beer commercials to the Disney channel network.
The HIP Hop / Rap music image influences life itself and is a Billion Dollar industry. It just ain't as cool if its doesn't have the Rap or Hip Hop touch.
Rappers that set a bench mark in history have shown the next generation how it should be. But whats happening now is that its the same old things. Examples *** 50 Cent wants the love from the Gansta music buyers and status of Tupac,, The Difference is that when **Tupac's album droped nobody could sell anything in Rap EAST COAST or WEST COAST North to Down South.
The other rapper's music was in the stores but Tupac shut the industry down which means we wanted to hear what he was talking about. PAC was the hardest **Reality** Gansta Rappers known to date, for how he put what he sees in life into rhymes. There has never been a time i remember that DR. DRE has not sold but when Tupac was out even DRE's music was not moving.
Today its the same old thing & now the artist are coming out with these cheap hooks and finger snap music, every one wants to sound like LIl Jon, Akon, Soja Boy, and if you can Sing a R&B hook,,,, **they will put it on the track with Cris Brown. "There is No Originality any more".! The Last thing I seen was this 50 Cent vs Kyane West " Who sold the most albums" kyane West Created a different approach to the rap game listen to his tracks the way it plays and how they are arranged, listen to the old songs he went back and looped them slowed it down & made it bump then Listen to what hes talking bout. I like 50 but hes "the king if NY ????" His Music does not have the DR. DRE Feel to the Beat any more. Now if DRE made all the tracks on that album 50 would have won that competition. Sean kingston=Akon =same sound, Romeo, BowWow, Fabolus, same image rappers or R&B singers?? Chris Brown R&B singer or rapper?
theres no originality that says Who is Who.

no

I think that the mainstream appeal of hip hop might have waned, simply because the newer generation wants a musical art form that identifies who they are. I believe that hip hop will be like rock-a-billy music or disco. Only the people who grew up with the genre will have a genuine appreciation for it. Hip hop was the sound of the 80's and 90's I think that it has had a longer run that most musically genres and will be a boutique genre.

"Hip-Hop is officially DEAD"

From what I have heard in the news in
the Entertainment media....

Rap music is on it's way out.

There has not been a big rap music hit in the last
three to four years.

Most rap artists think it is okay to put profanities,
obscene language in their songs. As well as glorify
the "street gang" lifestyle. That is where a lot of
violent crime in inner cities occured.

Forget rap music it is going down for the count.

heckkkk NO .

rap is dead

yes. Actually, rap music is currently burning in hell, mopping the charred faeces off of Satan's toilet.
