Depressing acoustic-y bands/singers?!
Question: I'm really into bands like the smiths, verve, manics, libertines and singer/songwriters like bob dylan and syd barrett but unfortunately i've heard most of their stuff and played it to death so can someone recommend similar bands or singer/songwriters who write depressing, poetic lyrics.

City and Colour - really strong and emotive vocals, depressing lyrics and Dallas Green is an excellent acoustic guitar player. The album is called Sometimes.

I personally think it's one of the best indie albums ever.
Its got to be damien rice ? His version on silent night would make you take the jump !!!
Have you heard of a band called Antimatter?
Check their myspace or something, they are probably the most depressing band I've heard, and they have a lot of Acoustic songs, especially on their 3rd album, "Planetary Confinement"
