yes, I agree that the Fish era of Marillion is the best. He's a poet who simply set his mind to a musical soundtrack. I saw the "new" version of them in 2000 at the Park West in Chicago, but it didn't hold a candle to the old version of the band. It was Fish that made that band.

"Misplaced Childhood" is still a lay on the couch with some good headphones kind of album for me and I have to listen to it start to finish because it tells such a great story. Same as in 1986 when I bought the album as a sophmore in College.

I was a huge fan of Marillion back in the 80's, I gave up on them when Fish left. I think Fugazi was my favourite album of theirs.

sugar mice was a classic

TOTP2 on Dave yesterday had Marillion playing Lavender. Personal favourite is Kayleigh.

i am sitting right ******* here

Only know Lavender and Kayleigh - both excellent tunes in my opinion!

hate to say it, but..... who???

80's - after watching this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cwNVfNc1I... - I still don't remember them...

Even after a wikipedia reading, I still have no clue - I do like the song that I watched above...

But thinking I was jammin to Adam and the Ants at this point in life - lol

I honestly can say that I'm learning about this band today...thanks! BTW, I noticed they have an album named Fugazi...any correlation with the newer band Fugazi and this band Marillion?

EDIT:Thx 80's Man! :)

yeah, I seen marillion open up for rush in cincinnati, I do believe, many moons ago.

Me and my bandmates were HUGE marillion fans.
It seemed at the time they weren't really that well known.

Reminds me, are there any ILUVATAR fans out there????? :)

Yeah im older too and love those guys Misplaced Childhood is awesome and I can say I do like some of the newr tunes but Kayleigh is my fav. I have to find the name of the band that pete is playing with I just added them to myspace friends. they kick butt I'll get back to you.
