Beginner acoustic guitar - nylon vs. steel? brand?!

Question: I'm 14 and i'm about to start playing guitar.. i was looking for an acoustic one for $100-150
i'm not sure if i should get a nylon string or steel.. i'll be playing some soft songs but some upbeat ones, but the main thing is that i'm pretty small and i need something that will fit me well. (i'll be able to get my hand around)
also if you know any good brands or packages for a beginner that would be great
-thanks-

Hey, good luck! Started a few months ago, I am 13. Go for steel string. If you start off on a steel string, you will get your calases and it wont hurt to play electric later; a telecaster will be like a toy for you.

Don't go for a really cheap brand coz they usually will break on you. Maybe Falcon. Thats mine. It is blue and an acoustic steel string. It hasn't broken on me. I have tiny hands. Im not kidding, I put them up against my friends and theirs are like, a whole joint bigger than mine. Do stretching excersizes. I do that. I can stretch along 3-4 frets (depending whether you want a good sound or not). You'll be fine. Good Luck.

Get a Steel String. Nylons go out of tune very easy and are a little harder to play...
I'd try Takamine. They are great for starter guitars..

Good Luck!!
