The old record labels are going the way of the dinosaur anyway.....

You may be mistaken. Metal is an underground type of music. American record labels do not sign metal acts as often as pop, rock, rap, hip-hop, emo, screemo bands. example, bands like korn, hatebreed, him, linkin park are not metal. lol . Metal acts from the states are getting signed more and more to european labels though.

Untrue

Nightwish (Finland) is on Roadrunner Records. Lullacry (Finland) and The Gathering (Dutch) both had/have deals with Century Media. Primal Fear (German) is on Nuclear Blast. Most, if not all metal bands are going to be on smaller labels because the big labels just aren't going to give metal bands, American or foreign, the push that they need and won't accept the smaller sales figures that metal bands get nowadays.

Edit: Century Media has a US base in Seattle, Nuclear Blast in California (not sure where Roadrunner is based out of). That is where those bands US deals originate from.

Because there really hasn't been a Non-USA metal band (or one from the USA for that matter) come out in many years that has shown an appeal on a grand scale that would make it worth it for them to put money up for promoting an album and tour. Sad, but true.

The funny thing is you see metal in "pop culture" all over the place. Look at the success of the video games too. But neither has translated into purchasing interest from the public.

You could be True but Realistically lets just keep listening to the Brutal and or Powerful music we have come to love, Metal, and lets not worry about the labels they play for we just want to here there talant and we just want any record label to sign them so they are atleast heard....

Not always

I see a lot of non-US bands on US labels
