How do i start a band ?!
Question: ok i live in magnolia delaware small town and i wanna know how i can start a band and stuff im gonna be lead singer cause i can sing but i cant play instuments and so how do i get the word out and get something going its gonna be emo rock acoustic soft rock love type band with fast electric guitar songs too so plz help me !!!

That's awesome! I'm a fellow lead singer over here haha. Just start going to local shows and get to know the people; and you'll find people who'll happily be in a band. Or, get friends who are willing to take up an instrument. I have a five peice band (Singer/LeadGuitar/RythmGuitar/Bass/Kit) and we are all still learning - it takes a while, but when you master a song you'll soar and it will be awesome. Also, sign up for a Myspace Artist profile. As I've said before - that site will take small town people places.
put an ad in a shop window
if you ask for them
they will come
get a few songs going. pick up people to play interments.
then post your songs on my space. people will then check them out.
Find some friends that play guitar or drums and see if they want to start a band with you.

Ask your friends if they know anyone who can play.
I don't know about where you live but in Dallas there is a thing called Camp Jam. It's where a bunch of musicians get together and they are randomly put into bands with a drummer, bassist, guitarist, and vocalist. I would look for something like that to do.
1st you have to identify musicians. so anyone walking down the street with a set of drums - kidnap him. Then when you've got your drummer, you can start playing to a different drummer! Then grab a bass player from the local hotel band. It usually works best if he's smoking a pipe. Then get a keyboard player from those organ stores in the mall. I find they are most 'hip' and some of them even have replaced hips. After that then go to your local 'Hair Metal' lounge on karaoke night and the first person to sing anything by poison or warrant will certainly also play a little guitar. You'll settle for 'air guitar' only if he owns his own equipment!
Then pick a time to practice and after the second practice get in an argument and break up. That is the best way to get a band.

Go to every local concert you can...meet the bands and band members and just put the word out that you are a singer looking for a band...somewhere out there is a band looking for a good singer! good luck
First, figure out what kind of band you want to be (so you know what to look for in the auditions). Second, hang up flyers around your neighborhood or school with the requirements for your band and have them in your backyard.
Third, once you ahve them see who can play things like guitar, bass guitar, and the keyboard. Fourth, once you pick the members of your band, pick a band name and have two meetings with them every weekend or after school each week. During the time you and the band are not together, ask them if they could come up with any song ideas. You'll share them at the meetings. Also, during the meetings you should practice all of the songs. When you are ready, see if you could go to a local hang-out spot and try to work it out with the owner and see if you can get a gig. When you have your deal and your hard earned money, try to spend it on supplies, better instruments, and possibly, clothes for the band. Hope I helped!!!
First u have to get people involved in your band
Pick what kind of instruments you want in your band.
Then you pass out flyers for tryouts.
If u r impressed but ur not sure then call a call back.
After u get people u have to pick parts like whos doing drums bass whatever.
Then u write a song
Then u should probably do a get up like for a prep rally or a party of something
Then work your way up
