If you like Talib Kweli or Black Star, it's good to try Nas or Biggie. I can tell you're into old school rap

This is the real old school stuff that you're prolly into:
Nas: Illmatic - first album, and his debut album. I've never found an album where I liked every song, but with all honesty I've absolutely loved every track.
Biggie (look for "The Notorious B.I.G."): Ready to Die - also first album and debut album. Real smooth rapping. Loved almost every track

Lupe Fiasco is some really new stuff. If you listen to Kanye West you'd know that his songs are really different from old school stuff, and Lupe Fiasco is kind of like Kanye in that manner.
Lupe's Food and Liquor was really good, and I've yet to listen to his new album.
Kanye - I loved all three albums, although I'm not sure if "rap" would be the correct word to describe the genre for his Graduation album (if you listen to it, you'll know what I mean).

I was never really a big fan of Jay-Z, but I really liked his American Gangster album. He has a few tracks featuring Pharrell (The Neptunes) and they're prime.

Immortal Technique: Both albums are good, but if you're into it, Technique is really heavy into the political stuff. I'm not really into political rap but his nonpolitical rapping is really good.

O, right now I LOVE Wu-Tang. 8 Diagrams is pretty good, as one of the track says, this particular wu album is "Unpredictable". If you dig around in the old stuff (like 36 chambers, the first album - has CREAM and Method Man) you might find something that you might really like. They do a lot of gangsta rap, but at least they keep it real unlike 50 cent.

Lupe-food and liquor
Immortal-Revolutionary vol 2
Jedi-Servants in heaven kings in hell

All three albums are great but i think Lupe's: The Cool is the best...it's something so different than the ordinary hiphop album put out today and it is very well produced

Definitely get Tribe Called Quest and Talib. It seems like you like music that is saying something ( like I do) so maybe some Krs One or GOODIE Mob

Lupe Fiasco- The Cool.
You will love it!!

lupe fiasco the cool is one of the best cds i've listen to this year and talib kweli eardrum is good too.

lupe fiasco-the cool,food & liquor
immortal technique-revolutionary vol.1 or 2,black cargo, ....waiting for the middle passage(=
