Typically when they sell you a "complete set" it comes with the drums, heads, and stands (hardware) and NOT cymbals. They are just in the picture. Dude above me is correct, you can get any brand you want, they will fit the stands that come with the set. I recommend the Zildjian A Customs.

they could be 5 dollar cymbols for all we know

You can use any type of cymbal, the lug holes are universal sizes, so either zildjian, sabian or any other type of crash/ride and highhats.
