How long do I play guitar?!
Question: So a few months ago i got with huge passion for the elctric guitar. I also herd that slash played for 12 hours everyday. What did he do while playing guitar? Like what should I do to play. I meen like my hands are pretty cwordiated and I could play stuff on the easier side like if I learn the tabs and stuff but what do I do when im just sitting there with my guitar? and how long do I practice. I want to take this very seriously but I find it boring just to learn some tabs. What did slash do while sitting there learning it?

Practice time and how it relates to you....is up to you. Practice smart and you will achieve more than long drawn out sessions. Divide your time up and stick to a schedule. Here is an example for one hour:
10 mins- finger and dexterity exercises
15 mins- free jammin' off the top of your head
15 mins- work on new chords and patterns
15 mins- run scales and arpeggios
5 mins- new techniques like 2 handed tapping or harmonics
you can come up with many ways to divide up whatever time you have 1 hour, three or ten!
You cant predict how good someone will be with one hour of practice each day. It comes down to natural talent, what is practiced, and how it's used.
