Question: Why Do ppl have to be brainwashed by the media and there Mainstream music. They make Rock music out to be this, yes i will say it, "emo" death, cut my wrist bullshit that its not. In my opinion emo doesnt even exist. Its just something made up by the media and the generalazation of the scene. Ugh I had the media they ruin everything. But atleast not all the bands out there are media hungery and we have a lot of amazing underground bands out there that do it for the love of music like they are suppose to and not for the money. God bless them.

People can't really agree what bands really are emo, and what aren't. It's stupid because most people classify 'emo music' as 'emotional'. It really shows how little these people know of music. All music is emotional. All art itself is emotional. Whether it's anger, sadness, or anything else, everything contains emotion.
Mainstream media is terrible. The label bands and the people that listen to them, then try to sell them like toys to children. I refuse to watch any television channel that tries to market music, because I feel like these stations are trying to shove music down my throat during commercial breaks of a never-ending line-up of crappy 'reality' television.

The world sucks and every person is closed minded in their own way. Live with it, the whole emo stuff is dieing down anyways.
Its our duty to introduce them to good music.
Many people are satisfied with living up to labels and they make their purchases based on that. The music industry is out to make a profit, and the demographic that spends a lot of money is also the demographic more given to buying into trends and "lifestyles" like emo. Therefore, the music industry continues signing bands that deliver what the consumer wants and the cycle of bland continues.
I am thankful that a lot of the music that I like stays indie or underground because otherwise it ends up being overexposed, overproduced, and watered down to appeal to the average consumer.
The emo trend will pass and another equally lame one will follow.
OH MY GOD I KNOW!!! People listen to all of this **** that is hardly even music!!! It's all like techno with computers and stuff. People don't even appreciate good rock bands. And theres tons of bands that i mention and my friends are like whats that? And people dont even give them a CHANCE. people will say the bands i listen to suck and theyve never even heard them before!
Emo is an excuse for guys to comb their hair over one eye and wear women jeans...bunch of knob gobblers...They should grow some balls and listen to some metal!!!
