Question: why do people think that death metal is like slipknot, korn, ect. and satanic music? when its neither, not even close.

I guess it's the mood that the music sets. If it's some death metal with screaming, of coarse they'll think it's satanic. Half of the reason is because they're stupid, the other half is the mood of the music and the vocals. I'm pretty sure this didn't help much, but I'm just trying to help.
Bands like Korn and Slipknot are not Satanic...I'm a Christian myself and I listen to them. Having said that, not all the lyrics are amazingly great, but certainly not Satanic.
I think some people just have a personal grief with metal in general, which is sad because there are amazing Christian metal bands out there like August Burns Red and War of Ages...just as good as Slipknot or Korn yet people still think its evil...I must agree...People need to know what they are talking about before they judge something
Its been that way since Elvis. People need to sample music like a buffet. To get the most out of it you need to taste alittle of everything. Most people that don't like something have never even tried it. Human Behavior, go figure!!
When People Hear That H.I.M Stands For His Infernal Majestry They Straight Away Think They're Satanic When It Was really Just A Joke That H.I.M Thought Would Be Funny. And Because K.I.S.S Stands For Knights In Satan's Service People Think They're Satanic And Them Two Bands Play Amazing Music. I Like KoRn, Slipknot, H.I.M And K.I.S.S But My Friends Don't, They Too Say It's Satanic Because Of The Screaming And The Song Titles For Instance One Of H.I.M's Most Well Known Tracks "Your Sweet 666" is According To Them Satanic Because It Has The Number Of The Beast. So Just Have Your Opinions On The Band And There's Always Gonna Be One D1ckhead Who Say's It Satanic Next Thing You Know They'll Be Accusing U2 Of Being Satanic!

Get out of town, Your hot, and you like death metal.. WOW. Well, THe only people that think that slipknot and korn are Death Metal are Posers. If you know anything about metal and death metal. NOt only do you know that those bands really really suck, but you also know that you might as well be calling elton john death metal
Because they are all mixed bands thatz why people lable them as death metal. These bands are death metal, heavy metal, black metal, metal, rap, DJ music,and screamo (because they have a different theme for every song.)
People judge these bands because people are people and not everyone likes the same thing but they still shouldn't judge.. But that is the way of life and we have to learn how to ignore it and get over it !!
