yes....If what you had to do to get whatever you have know was worth it looking back on it.
Say you took your best friends girlfriend, but you actually fell in love with her and got married. I'm sure you would lose your best friend, but you would get a wife. Now reflecting back on that, does have a wife that you love justify losing your best friend?

I don't have any recollection of saying that... But yes, it does make sense. The people who persecute their friends for the wrong reasons, and through wrong ways, their ends would be justified.
I think it means, he is asking if what he did will help him in the end like when the say u will go t heaven or hell if what he did will help him to heaven, thats what i think
