Uhhh YEA...country is awsome....kid rock is ehhh not country country music isnt like that pointless stuff, rap that they try and pass as music...its got songs that can effect your life and may actually help you through tough times...and the music rocks to...and Yea the CMAs are awsome...this year the performances were great....
country is good new or old....we got the new, big and rich, rascal flatts, luke bryan, covington, lambert, underwood and the rest....
then you got the people that have been around a while....chesney, mcgraw, strait, garth brooks, gretchen, alabama, ledoux

no i don't like country to many ppl do and carrie underwood sucks!!!!!!!!

yep country is pretty kewl but its really a neat thing to compare all types because i dont really have any favorites
candykane

yea, like u the new stuff, Taylor Swift is ok!

I like country music as much as I like pop music... which I means I dislike it with a passion.

I hate new "country". That is not country. It`s lousy POP/ROCK. Old C&W KICK ***!

I'm an old rocker at heart but I've been enjoying the new "Today's Country", as they call it. I enjoy all the bands you mentioned with the exception of Kid Rock. Not really into him much. Sugarland, Little Big Town, and guys like Josh Turner and Jace Everett are also good!

Yep, and the country videos are so much fun.

I enjoy some of the newer stuff - but as you said it is more pop than country.

I love traditional country!!!!

LOL @ Kid Rock being Country....

I am a huge fan of country music however I must say I am not a fan of any of the ones that mentioned, they are a pop cross over. Anyway....

My Favs

Chris LeDoux
Conway
Tanya Tucker
George Strait
Alan Jackson
The Outlaws
Brooks and Dunn
Reba

For new country
Luke Strickland
Kenny Chesney (not really new, yet not a classic yet)
Brad Paisley

But yes I love country, I love the rodeo...and I love my cowboys!!! It's a culture and a way of life.

Congrats on getting your feet wet. :)

Oh and of course Trace and Toby....what was I thinking?

I am not a huge fan either but some of the newer stuff is pretty good.
Garth Brooks
Kenny Chesney
Brad Paisley
They make it fun to listen to some of there songs.

Everyone you named isn't country - but pop is so hip-hop dominant there's no place for the younger pop artists to go. It's all about looks and posing in videos for the majority of it (see Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood), though Rascal Flatts is really talented and Keith Urban could be this decade's Keith Whitley the way he's going. John Rich is country's Michael Jackson (80's version).

Country in 2008 is Josh Turner, Alan Jackson, Gretchen Wilson and Little Big Town. Kid Rock is so not country it hurts.

No, and I do have have a problem with Keith Urban's name. If he does country, his name should be Keith Rural. Keith Urban is a better name for a rap star.

That's because it's essentially rock. I grew up listening to my dads country music. Can't stand the stuff anymore! ;-)=

You say you like country, yet you failed to list any country entertainers. What you have listed is more pop than country, and (lol) excuse me for laughing, but Kid Rock is no where near country. He was adopted into Hank Jr's rowdy friends and now he thinks he can mingle with the rest.. (I DON'T THINK SO!) Carrie Underwood is fake. She got her start on American Idol, she did not go out and bust her @ss in the honky tonks and bars like Tanya Tucker, Loretta Lynn, Lynn Anderson (just to name a few) She did not have to go from station to station to promote her songs and spend countless hours on the road hoping it wouldn't all be a waste of time and to tell you the truth in about 10 yrs from now we will all be asking the question..."what ever happened to what's her name?" You don't even want me to get started on Rascall Flatts, so I'll spare you my story about them. If you really want to know country music, try digging down into the roots and see where it all came from and who were the real troubadours that got out their and made names for them selves the hard way. The ones that spent miserable hours in broken down buses, and cramped up cars just to get to the next town to do a show. Those are the ones that are on my play list. Today's country does not even come close to the classics.

Yes I do but I would not put Rascal Flats as number one on my list.

I think you are confused, Rascal Flatts are not country. Where do you think alll the new Country came from??? The Old Western Stuff..

no not realli but i like taylor swift

No no no and a bit, kid rock is ok, but most country music is whining about how their life sucks, and alcahol and crap, i mean, i know rock is about how our life is so evil or something and where about cocaine and crap but ya...

I hate country... Kid Rock is good though.
