I think so. It might be that a lot of highschool kids are gettin stoned and they wanna listen to some drug songs. True with most people I know. I think that we are finally realizing that rap is all the same people talking about killing people and dealing crack. I have listend to rock since about 4 years ago but I'm not that old so... However to answer your question, yes I do believe that rap is making a comeback. People have realized that rap has lost it's novelty.

It's actually kind of annoying.
Especially when you were into all kinds of rock your whole life then you see all the hypocrites that say they hated rock and now listen to it. That's just my opinion.

Just a phase. I knew kids in HS who would literally be into the "alt.rock/fake metal" one week and dress like a metrosexual rapper the next. Teenagers are very impressionable.
Well, I see a lot of posers who wear Led Zeppelin shirts but have only listened to Stairway to Heaven.

Rock never went anywhere. Maybe just maybe kids are finally waking up to the the fact that rap is crap. Hip hop what ever they call it.
Whoa whoa whoa! Rock never went any where it's always been around. It's just people really didnt notice because they were lost in the crap that is rap and hiphop (I HATE HATE HATE both) Look at Grunge in the 90's Hair metal in the 80's and all the other genras rock neverleft and it never will. The Metal by tenatious D says it all all the other music types tried to take down metal (rock in our case) but they cant! Or said in the world of classic rock Rock and Roll will never die!
