Christian music that says cuss words?!


Question: theres this band called The Cobalt Season and they're a christian band but they use cuss words in their music. honestly i think it's kind of funny, but do you think thats ok?

    I think that it is a touch disrespectful to use cuss words in Christian music (i am in a non-cussing Christian band myself) though i depends how strong the words are and what they are placed to mean. Lines such as 'f*** the devil' for example whilst being funny, trivialize the reality of it, but things such as 'feeling like s*** could be more acceptable'. On the whole it depends on your judgment, but if its praising God and predominantly Christian i see no problems with it.
    I think swear words in ANY song are usually used distastefully. I don't call myself a Christian, and I don't really have any particular religion that I follow. And I swear from time to time. But in the name of art, and using words well, you usually don't have to use swear words unless you really know what you're doing. Most of the people out there don't know what they're doing though.
    One of the first "popular" Christian rock bands "STRYPER" had a problem with another Christian bands (TROUBLE) lyric content, Just like the original apostles, we're all young in our walk at some time, let people grow, time will take it's toll.
