Christian music you didn't know was Christian music?!

Question: I've noticed a lot of times lately that i'll be listening to a band and then when i start listening closer to the lyrics and searching them online and it turns out that they're Christian bands. Nothing wrong with that of course.

Recently I found:

The band RED who was on tour with Three Days Grace, Seether, and Breaking Benjamin.

FAMILY FORCE 5 who are an amazing group and were wild crazy in concert

and 12 Stones, who are really good. The singer of 12 Stones is the male vocalist in Evanescence's song, "Bring Me To Life"

In addition to all the bands mentioned before, there's also Lifehouse, Sherwood, David and Natasha Bedingfield, The Fray, Augustana, Sufjan Stevens, Alice Coper, Eisley, Thrice, Mat Kearney, Waking Ashland, Mute Math...Dashboard Confessional. Mary J. Blige.
That's all I can think of at the moment. UnderOATH is amazing, so is The Almost. Oh, The Rocket Summer. I think Amber Pacific is, too.

Love FF5!

Underoath

I agree.

What's your question?

actually i didnt even know that relient k was Christian until i found out later on. their music didn't really seem related to Christianity that much.. which was why i didn't know they were one.

POD is a christian band too

Whoa! I didn't know that 12 Stones was.

They are as talented as other bands. Only the lyrics differ.

Yeah same here.

I liked As I Lay Dying for a long time and I found out a year ago they were Christian. But that's cool. There are a lot of good Christian bands like August Burns Red, Destroy the Runner, and War of Ages.

2pac

grits - i like the song "my life"

'UnderOath' is also a christian band taht doesn't seem christian. 'Superchick' is also.

Glass Harp is another Christian oriented band, check them out especially if you're into excellent guitarists. possibly as good as Eric Clapton, but didn't have the media attention.

ok.
how is this a question?
that more like facts.
lol
but good bands.

Yea we in New England celebrate a Soul weekend and it has some thing for all ages- various bangs are one of the most popular events

I'm glad you found these , But this is not really a question. These should be listed in the sales dept.

Is this a question?
I knew all of them were Christian.

nothing is wrong with that at all.you should be full of joy.

There are songs like that nowadays........I personaly like the songs with real christian meaning in it.....some of it say christian stuff with different meanings...like this one song called Saving Grace on the WoW CD says stuff about like saving a person named Grace instead of Grace in the spiritual way...

POD is also a Christian band. I'm not sure if they're still jamming but they were popular at one time. I saw them at Ozzfest a few years ago - kinda ironic huh?

I also was listening to some bands and when I looked them up, I found out that they were Christians!

I used to be a great fan of Evanescence until the lead singer became Gothic. I have nothing against Goths, it's just the songs she now sings is really dark and freaky....
But that's in my opinion! Please don't take it personal!

There are actually R&B/ Hip-Hop singers that you just can't tell are Christian singers, like this dude named J. Moss. His album is on the top ten albums for R&B on iTunes, so obviously, no one else can tell either.

That is part of the subtle "subterfuge" Evangelicals use in their proselytizing tactics.

I have seen with my own eyes in Refugee Camps on the border of Burma how Christian workers will offer $$$ and material aid to those needy souls ONLY after they convert to Christianity and the Buddhists ... ignored !

Yep it's a lot more insidious than one would be led to believe.

And the Lord Jesus has nothing to do with those tactics it's all about members and conversions for points in heaven and their respective egos! For shame.

How sad!
