Questions on lyrics??!

Question: Okay, the new Big and Rich song "God Must be Busy"-what exactly do they mean? I have listened to it several times and can't decide if they mean that God is to busy to notice some peoples problems, or if He cares but there is so much stuff going on in the world and He is kept busy. Does that make sense? Any thoughts?

Its actually Brooks & Dunn.
But I guess the song is about all the bad things in the world going on, and people are trying to rationalize it. The lyrics are much different from their previous big hit "Believe," and has a much different tone.
Much like Garth Brook's song "Unanswered Prayers"... only the song doesn't go on to say the good things that happened because of the unanswered prayer.

As always, when horrible things happen humans try to rationalize. The song isn't saying that God doesn't care. The song is saying that people are wondering why God didn't do something to stop it.

Personally, I'm rather disappointed in them for singing this after "Believe," but to each his own, I suppose.

Actually that's brooks & dunn's song. And I think it is about god being so busy he can't help w/ every request/prayer that is made. And just because he doesn't answer-doesn't mean he doesn't care. Kinda like Garth Brooks' song unanswered prayers.

It's not B& R it Brooks and Dunn, don't insult B&D that way.

I agree with the second one...I think it might mean there is so much going on and messed up in the world today that god is busy trying to fix those problems. Like the war and oil and forgeign junk, and that hes only one person/thing(what ever you believe it is) trying do a million jobs and sometimes over looks somethings.

"God Must Be Busy" is actually sung by Brooks & Dunn and I think it's similar to your second option. A lot of people ask why when someone is suffering as well as asking why God supposedly isn't helping end the person's suffering and I see this song as saying that there are so many people who need the help that God must be busy helping someone else.

I think it's just a statement made to find the meaning behind war and all the terrible things that happen in the world.
