Question: By "Jump Jump Jump on the tiger. You can see his stripes but,you know he's clean. It is in the song Holy Diver.

This is a question from my boyfriend...I have no idea what song he is referring to? Not my type of music...so for all you rock n roll lovers can you answer that! Thanks(:

I love how no one actually "reads" the question....anyway....that line (entire song) in Holy Diver is most likely about heroine.
The "Tiger" throughout the songs can be seen as the "High"...the "Stripes" can be the lines of the syringe.

Dio is the name of a band from the 80s. Named after the singer Ronnie James Dio.

its ronnie james dio...and if u turn the DIO logo upside down, it reads EVIL...which is freakin awesome

Like everyone else said. It comes from his name "Ronnie James Dio". It is actually just his stage name, his real name is Ronald James Padavona. Kind of like how 'Ozzy' is just a stage name.

According to wikipedia:

Ronnie took up the name "Dio" after mafia member Johnny Dio, and first used it professionally in the early 1960s, playing in a band called Ronnie Dio and the Prophets. This was essentially the same band as Ronnie And The Red Caps, but with a different name. Dio is the Italian word for God.

VERY interesting...... I am a diehard fan but I never knew where the name came from! He is from Italian descent... so that explains alot...

The song is from Holy Diver. Good album, but his stuff with 80s Black Sabbath is his best. You know I was just watching the Radio City Black Sabbath DVD about 5 mins ago..

Take care..

That is a line from Dio's song Holy Diver (jump on the tiger...). I don't really know what it means, my best guess is that the tiger is a metaphor for life. Jump on it and ride, don't be afraid of death, that sort of thing. That's my interpretation at any rate.

Lol...yes, drugs could easily be substituted for life in the metaphor. I'm sorry, I wasn't going to say anything about no one understanding the question, that's funny!
