Pink Floyd's The Wall or Dark Side of the Moon?!

Question: Which was your favorite album and why?

Answers: Which was your favorite album and why?

I find it hard to compare the two albums. I say this because the Dark Side of The Moon was a group effort, while The Wall was mostly just Waters ranting on [excluding songs like Young Lust, Comfortably Numb, Hey You, and The Show Must Go On, as they were written by both Waters and Gilmour.]

But if I must chose I'd have to go with The Wall because I really admire all of the emotion Roger put into it while creating it. The reason why I would not pick the Dark Side of The Moon is because how grossly overrated it is. It's a good album, yes, but not their best. [Not even close to their best, in my opinion.]

Darkisde of the Moon flows so well. Every song in the album helps the next song, and that's something you rarely see.

The Wall is just as amazing for other reasons, but it doesn't have as cool of a cover.

both. i HAVE BOTH AND THEY ARE FREKIN AMAZING. but im leaning a little towards dark side of the moon

Dark of The Moon becuase it is just more mellow and jazzy

Dark Side is a more direct album, that flows much better than The Wall, and seems to fit better in the context of a theme (for whatever reason in my mind).

The Wall can get a little convoluted in the middle, and I prefer Brain Damage to Comfortably Numb (but it's a toss up depending on my mood) so I usually stick with DSOTM!!

the wall is my favorite album of all time...it's just so powerful, the concept behind the entire story and how the songs all come together to bring the story of the life of the fictional character of pink floyd into focus

I'll see you on The Dark Side of the Moon.

Why? Well, I think the production is better, it flows better, and is more consistently good.

Don't get me wrong, I like The Wall, but it seems kind of "off" in spots.

The wall..because of great songs..who can forget "Another Brick In The Wall" ?

My favorite is easily Darkside. The album's music has such a good flow to it as well as the quality of the songs. Each and every song on the album can stand on its own, while The Wall has a few really great songs but some others that without the storyline creating the context for it, would just be unnecessary.

DSotM

Dark Side of the Moon

Because I like {to varying extents} all the songs on there, whereas I only like about 3 songs from The Wall.

Dark Side. Just a better overall album in terms of flow and consistency. Impossible to listen to it and not be enveloped by it.
