I need a leaving song!!?!

Question: So I'm moving to China for about 7 months or so and a lot of my friend's don't really know. I wanted a song that would be a hint that I am leaving somewhere lol. Any suggestions? I'm not a big fan of rap or old school rock. I was thinking more acoustic/indie/punk/ etc. Lemme know what you think! Thanks!!

This will be an excellent song if you want to come out the closet at the same time haha

how bout' "I think I'm turning Japanese"

Just get the song Turning Japanese, and that might be a clue.

chantal Kreviaks' song "I'm leaving on a Jet Plane" is always good for someone you care about at least.

Leaving on a Jet Plane

Thanks For The Memories - MCR

Hallelujiah by John Cale if you want them to get all emotional.

Enya Only time

ummm idk three doors down when i'm gone.... :) best answer!!

Leaving on a Jet Plane. It's an oldie, and you might not have heard of it.

Come Fly With Me, Frank Sinatra
Get Here by Oleta Adams ;) all the best for the future x

There's the Goodbye song by the Spice Girls or a more sad "Good-bye to You" by Michelle Branch

"time of your life" by green day

How about "Next Year" by the Foo Fighters?

Leaving on a jet plane by John Denver.

try
"mother land"
it just has a fair well tone about it
and no one will understand cause it's
jap

Nah Nah Nah Nah... hey hey hey goodbye.

Why beat around the bush? This should take care of it.

Leaving Town by Dexter Freebish

Leaving On A Jet Plane by Peter, Paul and Mary - maybe not your exact music style, but give it a listen anyway. It might work better than you'd think. If not, nothing harmed by listening.

" Hello, I Must Be Going," sung by Groucho Marx in Animal Crackers.

it's so hard to say goodbye by boys to men

go on now go, walk out the door, dont turn around now i dont want you anymore....bla bla i will survive!!!

then sing karioke and change the words to: "im goin to japan, im goin to move away and this is how im telling you"

or play a leavin song and on al the tables at ur party leave little envelopes for evry1 that say 'open after ((song of ur choice))' then wen the song ends tell them to open it while u run out to ((insert excuse here)) then come back really really drunk half hour later or something.....or just get a printed t shirt sayin ur leavin 'ask for details'

Not exactly indie and all...but you could play "Leaving on a Jet Plane", lol..I think John Denver did it.

Here are 2 versions of it:

Goodbye Lyrics
By :Natalie Imbruglia

Everyday's the same
I feel them merge
I try to separate
Resist the urge
But they tell me
I'll be fine
That it will all get better
Just try to write it down
Or put it in a letter
But the words won't play
And there's no
Easy way to say
Goodbye, goodbye
Keep my head on straight
And don't look down
With all I've pushed away
I'm losing ground
But they tell me
I'll be fine
That it will all get better
Just try to write it down
Or put it in a letter
But the words won't play
And there's no
Easy way to say
Goodbye, goodbye
And from the sidelines
Watch me fall down
And I don't understand
The things I do
But I'll probably be fine
As long as I keep moving
I'll try to write it down
So things just keep improving
Still the words won't play
'Cause there's no
Easy way to say
Goodbye, goodbye

Michelle Branch
"Goodbye To You"

Of all the things I've believed in
I just want to get it over with
Tears form behind my eyes
But I do not cry
Counting the days that pass me by
I've been searching deep down in my soul
Words that I'm hearing are starting to get old
It feels like I'm starting all over again
The last three years were just pretend
And I said,
[Chorus:]
Goodbye to you
Goodbye to everything I thought I knew
You were the one I loved
The one thing that I tried to hold on to
The one thing that I tried to hold on to
I still get lost in your eyes
And it seems that I can't live a day without you
Closing my eyes and you chase my thoughts away
To a place where I am blinded by the light
But it's not right
[Chorus]
And it hurts to want everything and nothing at the same time
I want what's yours and I want what's mine
I want you
But I'm not giving in this time
[Chorus x2]
And when the stars fall
I will lie awake
You're my shooting star

Phil Collins did a song called We said Hello Goodbye. This was back in the 80's. Nice song.

We said goodbye to a dear old friend
And we packed our bags and left feeling sad
It's the only way
We said hello as we turned the key
A new roof over our heads
Gave a smile
It's the only way
Only way

Turn your head
And don't look back
Set your sails for a new horizon
Don't turn around don't look down
Oh there's life across the tracks
And you know it's really not surprising
It gets better when you get there oh

Well it really don't matter much where you are
Cause home is in your heart
It's a feeling that you wake with one day
Some people keep running all their life
And still find they haven't gone too far
They don't see it's the feeling inside - the feeling inside oh

Turn your head and don't look back
Just set your sails for a new horizon
Don't turn around don't look down
Oh there's life across the tracks
And you know it's really not surprising
It gets better when you get there

We said hello as we turned the key
A new roof over our heads
Gave a smile - it's the only way
