hey,the only videos that looks like what you have described are Justin Timberlake's "What goes around comes around",or maybe Enrique Iglesias "Hero"...as far as I know....I don't remember of any other videos in which she or he dies in a car accident
Yeah... "What hurts the most," Is definitely the song you are looking for, but if you like that kind of music video, you should watch Nickleback's "Someday." It ends the way you say you remember the other music video ending.. well... kinda the same way. I think you may have confused two songs... but anyways... the bf dies, but he doesn't know it, and he keeps trying to get his gf to stay with him.. she leaves in a suv, bawling her eyes out, and he tries to follow her. Eventually she gets into a car accident, and he sees it, now he is devastated because he doesn't know he is dead... but she comes out of the wreck and they hug at the end.
I suggest you watch it, it is a very good music video
