Oasis Rocker Noel Gallagher attacks Rap music?!

Question: What's masquerading itself as hip-hop-slash-R&B is fooking horrible. These guys will go on the telly going: 'Hey kids, stay in school, don't do drugs', and then they'll be shooting each other down at the shopping mall. The disregard for women, stuff like that, I find it quite sickening. And the clothes they wear, and it's all about 'me, me, me', and 'I wanna fook you up…' Give it a rest you bunch of idiots."

That is why I love Noel and Liam.

Yep. That's about right.

I agree.

Bingo!

Well.. although I have never heard of any of their music, my respect now goes down from whatever it was to MY PIMPLE.

Noel Gallagher, if he is the brother I think, he attacks anything that breathes. But in the comment there is some minuscule of truth. If you hear some rap music, it is about killing and 'banging' many women. But it is not all. I like Kanye West and Will Smith. But I have seen a lot of videos where the women are half naked and it looks rather vulgar.

By the way to 123.... Oasis, is one of Britain's most famous bands, and everyone has at least heard one of their songs.

I think that statement is very idiotic and ignorant. If you just look at the bad part of a genre then you're going to think its bad, duh. This guy sounds like a snob and very narrow minded.

Well, I hold Oasis in very low regard, so whatever Noel Gallagher says, I take with. . . well, nothing.

He has the right to his opinion. My opinion of his band is a very cheap rip off of the Beatles - a band of wanna be's. So when he can write something original, maybe I might have a little more respect for him.

and, I'm 100% agree with Mister Noel. Any questions?

frankly i'm trying to be open minded to modern rap, i'm failing miserably to understand, when i hear some so called "artist" who barely speaks proper English, but raps about "how bad is his life" i'd say it make no sense

this goes to modern rap, and not talking about classic rappers like DMX, or 2pac

Wow, what a moron. Todays mainstream is full of cookie-cutter rappers like plies, soulja boy, hurricane chris, etc. so he's right regarding that. But regarding real rap, he's totally wrong/

A quote from Bob Dylan, whose shoes the members of Oasis are not fit to lick:

"A few years earlier, Kurtis Blow, a rapper from Brooklyn who had a hit out called 'The Breaks,' had asked me to be on one of his records and he familiarized me with that stuff, Ice-T, Public Enemy, N.W.A., Run-D.M.C. These guys definitely weren't standing around bullsh*tting. They were beating drums, tearing it up, hurling horses over the cliffs. They were all poets and they knew what was going on."

I agree.... I don't consider Rappers Musicians.
