When burning a new CD do you have a certain song you like to put as the last one!

Question: I seem to end most of my CD's with either George Thorogoods "One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer" or Afroman's " 'Cause I got high"....

When I'm compiling CDs, it's either of a specific artist, or a various artists compilation. Either way, the two most important songs will always be the 'opener' and the 'closer'.
I try to choose songs that give the right feel for that artist's style, or the mood of the overall album.

For example :~
My Jimi Hendrix comp opened with 'All Along the Watchtower', and closed with 'Voodoo Chile {Slight Return}'

The Who opens on 'I Can't Explain', and closes with 'Won't Get Fooled Again'.

I made a point of closing disc 1 of my Robert Palmer album with 'Sneakin' Sally Through the Alley', because of the way it ends, and opening disc 2 with 'Mama Talk to Your Daughter' because of the way it starts!

One of my VA comps opens with 'Magic Bus' {The Who}, and closes on 'Waterloo Sunset' {The Kinks}.
Another opens on 'Born to Be Wild' {Steppenwolf} and ends on 'Time Has Told Me' {Nick Drake}.

least important want will be put in the last

I actually do the same thing, I put songs I really like right at the end of the CD all the time!
Funny!

yes i do the one that i dont like the most is the one i put last

the last song is important... cs it stays in the listeners mind... i recently burnt a cd for my brother and the last song was i'm a loser by the beatles..lol

um nope. i just put em on there...and i dont do it the illegal way!

I've never been good at burning CD's because it's far too tough for me to limit my selection down to 12 songs per disk. Pretty much any band I listen to, I enjoy many, if not all of their songs so picking one is nearly impossible.

I throw all my albums on my ipod. This has to be one the greatest inventions ever created, next to the car stereo.

If I were to create a CD, however, I would be sure and put one of my favorites at the beginning as a kick off, one in the middle to keep my attention, and at the end as sort of a finale.

I can pretty much guarantee that "Cause I got high" would not be included on my list though... LOL

i always arrange my list by song name so the names are in alphabetical order. Or you can just shuffle the list if you use Itunes.

yea the middles usually the rubbish bit with the go0d stuff at the begining and end.
=]

Well when I'm making a mix I usually try to make the songs flow into one another and most of the time I slow the end of the cd down to give you that closure feeling and the perfect song to end the mix is A Perfect Circle's "Brena" it's such a soft beuatiful song which is a great way close out a moving mix.
