The 930 Club in Washington, DC. The original location at 930 F Street had its special charm. Anyone else remember the distinctive smell, and the "getting rid of the smell" party? I went to many industrial and alternative rock shows there, back in the day, and knew its nooks and crannies well. But the Adams Morgan location has a better view of the stage!
I love the Tabernacle in Atlanta.
Hate Hi-Fi Buys... just cause it gets all hot in the pit, and if you get cheap tix you cant see...
There's this tiny little place called Lupo's Heartbreak Hotel in Providence, Rhode Island.
It's great.
Not a bad seat in the house. It has about 500 people tops.

Tsongas Arena in Lowell, Mass isn't half bad either.
The Machine Shop in Flint and Harpos in Detroit,both here in Michigan
Air Canada Center in Toronto. But since I live in Toronto and don't travel much, I haven't seen any other arenas.

the middle east (upstairs and downstairs) in boston is pretty tight too.
or emo's in austin. fireside is def. the best venue that has ever existed though.
The Coach House in San Juan Capistrano, Ca. They have so many cool musicians/bands that play in any given month, that it is hard to pick one or two concerts. Intimate, friendly setting & the dinners are great. Ticket prices are reasonable too:

The Phoenix in Petaluma. saw municipal waste there, and it was awesome. It looks like **** and nothing works there, but it's still a cool place. by the way best user name ever.

I second the 930 club, great venue! I never went to a show at their old location, I hear the smell was absolutely horrendous. I've been to many shows at their current location though. I also like The Recher Theatre in Towson, MD and Sonar in Baltimore, MD.
