Question: I heard this song at a Christmas service, sadly I don't remember any words, but it I think it is an alternation of silent night. They sang the song first, but then sang silent night with it. Does anyone know of any versions of silent night accompanied with another song?

There is a hymn called "Night of Silence" that is often sung with Silent Night as a descant. It's a beautiful combination. Perhaps that's the one you mean?
