4 year old singing strange fruit?!
Question: I found a video on you tube of a 4 year old girl singing strange fruit.
Now, I firmly believe that for the youth to move forward they need to know the past.
However, I could not imagine having my 4 year old hear a song that is so discriptive at his age, let a lone teach him the words.
I would like to know what other peoples opinion is.
Would you want your 4 year old to listen to this song?

It's an amasing song, but No, definately not at that age...Too young I think. It's a powerful and disturbing song, but of course at that age he probably wouldn't really undertsand what it is all about anyway...Still wouldn't let him listen to it though....
EDIT: Just watched the video (At least I am assuming it's the one you were talking about) and the girl has amasing talent and obvious love and passion for singing, however i still feel the song isn't appropriate for someone her age...She will learn of the cruelties of the world soon enough anyway, why expose her to it so soon, let her keep her innocence longer.
