Do you think that "Raining Blood" is praised b/c of its difficulty or !

Question: i say originality, and the proof of it is that I learned it after just three days (2 hours each) of playing it (ive been playing guitar in general for exactly 1 year). Ive only seen two people on youtube who play it well, so i guess the rest just stink at guitar and should try playing the recorder?
anyways, the originality and craziness of the song is what i think people love about it....not the speed. yes, the riffs are great, but easy to play. what do you think?

Well its sure not its difficulty, it took me five minutes to learn the whole song minus the solo (beg, chorus, bridge ect). Its one of those songs that define the word "metal" Nothing sounded like it when it came out. The metal heads thought it was metal and the punks thought it was punk. Im going with originality

Raining Blood is Immense!!!
I love everything about it!!
Yes it is fairly easy to play
and you must be a quick learner as most begginer's can't do the "spider crawl" part

Yeah its on originality, because of what you said for example... someone who knows what they're doing can learn the entire sng in one sitting, so it's not the difficulty aspect that made the song so famous. I think it became popular just because it's simply catchy, every instrument has a good part in it so it sounds good overall.

you know, it's a fairly typical slayer song, see south of heaven or seasons in the abyss, they're are lots of songs with similar lyrics, i agree with the not technical part, i think it's the heavyness of the opening riff, if you're not a metalhead, you might crap your pants at that part.
