Got Any Song Ideas?!
Question: okay so i want to start writing some songs...i just need some ideas of what to make my songs about....i know most songs now are about relationships and stuff and i would like to stay with that concept but i dont know what to put in them...any advice/ideas?

um i used to write songs. and i wrote about, some past heartbreaks. first loves. um people you miss. i know they all sound sad; but also you could go to testriffic.com and look at some of there poems :) they give u good ideas for your own poems or songs. :)

Better idea, how about you cover some of the current world issues. Like what they are, how they happened, and how they can be solved... Just sayin...

just write what comes to mind - write what comes from your heart... i'm sorry to say this but if you're asking advise on what to write songs about - something that is supposed to mean a lot to YOURSELF, then you might not be fit to write songs at all?? =\ sorry - but it's true.
do somethin about a boy and a girl and the boy wants to commit sewicide while the girl loves him and he's caught up between the girl and sewicide
ummm how about a generous helping of CREATIVITY?

i am a songwriter. and i just write about what i am feeling. the song will not be good if you dont write about what you feel and just about what you think is good. just write about the first thing that comes to mind.

i write songs also, i write my feelings, (which usually are darker). but when im happy, i find my writings suck, so, idk, get angry, lol
if i told u the answer it would be my idea, come up with your own.
Write about a guy is who alone even when in crowded areas like airports and parties. the he randomly meets the girl of his dreams. And then he has to wait a month to see her again. But in the end it is worth it.
what about gettin old. paul mccartney "when im 64" something like that.

write how the person is so right about you.. or about the hardest breakup.... basically take wat's in ur heart write it down and revise it.. umm... u don't really need ur head.. don't think too much 10% thinking okay.... um... u don't need them in sentences... singers pretty much have the fans fiqure out what theyre singing about... it's like a book authors expect to fiqure something out in their book.. okay...

How about looking back.
Most people tend to look back at there lives and reflect on how their past affects there future now.
Try a lyrics like this "Looking back is so much fun remembering when we were young never forget those lazy days when my life was in a daze.
Maybe end the song with something about how the best is yet to come.

Well, I like to hear really random songs about random things. Listen to Tom Milsom, and you'll know what I mean. But I also think it's important to write about what you're feeling. If you feel happy, write about how you're happy and thankful for whatever you're thankful for! If you're sad, write about how you're sad and what you would like to change. Write about whatever you're thinking about. Look up from the screen and whatever the first thing is that you see, write a song about it! It can be much more fun like that. And people will probably be more attracted to that, because it's different and unique. We're human, and we get tired of hearing the same old thing all the time! Also, don't use a lot of bad words. Because that can make you sound immature. [Don't know if you would or not, just wanted to put that in there just in case. haha]
Things that are going on around you, personal stuff, things you went through, the present, friends, family, everyday life,God it will come naturally. Good Luck!

My favorite songs are about kids. I was just thinking of one earlier today that was about a little boy playing baseball.... 'I am the Greatest' by Kenny Rogers:

or things you didn't like about how the people treated you or somthing.
