To Everyone That Hates Rap/Hip Hop in General.........?!

Question: Ok I understand Hip Hop/Rap fans not liking some artists(Like Soulja Boy or 50Cent). But this is to the People who come in here BASHING Rap in General.....

Why do YOU come to a HIP HOP/RAP fan section to voice your opinion about it? You ARE NOT a fan & Hate it!
So you come here & voice NEGATIVITY into the section?!?!

Wow if you people are like this online I feel sorry for you at home where you most likely voice NEGATIVITY left & right.

You could say your opinion...but be SMARTER about it & say your opinion about something you REALLY Know somewhere else...

If You don't listen to Hip Hop then you DON'T KNOW about it..Therefore you shouldn't be here to say ANY OPINION or you won't know what you're talking about....am I correct?

NO one in this section is going to jump on your side & say.."I Hate Rap too, It's Crap!"..because we're all love Rap!

Stick to your Music Section....don't come here complaining about something you CAN'T do NOTHING about. Hip Hop will be here FOREVER!

Rap haters always come to rap forums and feel a need to vent. Rarely do you see a rap fan go into another genre's forum and rant about how bad rock or pop is. They're usually too busy listening to rap and hip-hop ;)

IMO it boils down to this: Most people hate rap it because of who the media markets and the way that commerical rap is marketed. If I didn't like rap (not true, I'm hip-hop head) I would be annoyed by the constant barrage of shouty rappers with 3 note beats who always seem to be advertised in the press. Record labels know that rap makes money and this is why there are so many throwaway 1-hit wonder tracks, all style and swagger but no substance.

The rap game is pretty fickle as well. Fans are easily swayed and artists have to constantly release material to keep them interested, even if this means that the quality of their work decreases.

Rap haters always say "you're using samples, you're not singing, it's not music", I can see what they are trying to say, but if you're not a fan then you won't understand it. I could be just as narrow-minded and say that strumming an electric guitar to make a bunch of distorted notes isn't music either, but because I'm not a fan of rock or metal etc., I won't understand it.

Rap haters judge the whole genre by the artists that are in the limelight. But this isn't fair because artists like Soulja Boy are not the figureheads for rap, just like Nickelback are not the figureheads for rock.

I agree with the whole "be smarter about it". But you have to understand, 75% of the people you meet are of average intelligence or below.

I don't particularly care for rap, But there are a few songs I like. I was really impressed with ushers ability to sing. Where guys like DMX really have no ability to sing, just yell in a mic. I appreciate anyone with talent. The writing and vernacular abilities of a lot of rap artists is great, but few have the vocal ability to make it really music.

The music as a whole is on a decline. Album sales are at record low's, but on an upside digital downloads are way up, but still not generating the revenue it did a few years ago. No music type is forever. Every 20-30 years you will get a new dominant trend in music. Rap should have another 10-15 years left in it ;)

Yeah, rap is certainly dead, but it's still making money... I don't hate no one. I'm still into HIP HOP, but I'm more into the classics.

Geez, get a life!

sorry the question is tooooo...... lengthy i dont have time to answer it

well said although i myself am a lover of reall old school rap. i just can't get down w/all this violence and stuff but you made a good point. this happens alot to me when i'm in the relious category and people bash islaam when they know nothing a/b it and only know what they read or see on tv. it's ridiculous to speak on something you know nothing a/b. i mena and like you said they tried to shut it down once before and it didn't happen. all it did was expose it to a new audience. rich white kids who spend alot of mommy and daddy's money on rap. and since artits like justin timberlake, nelly futado, christina aquilera,etc... are doing remixes w/rappers and being produced by rappers i don't see it going anywhere,so take that haters!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree

It would be like me walking into a KKK meeting and saying how much I hate cowards who sneak around at night hiding under hoods planning different ways to hate me.

Back in the 80's corporate America wouldn't touch Rap. Now you have Rap being USED to sell everything.

I prefer to stay away from commercial rap, But I fully support the underground mixtape artists they are the heartbeat of the art form.

People are dicks. It's like the people that go on youtube, search for a song/band they know they don't like just to write something like 'this band is so gay' 'you're all losers' etc. etc.

You are absolutely right, but hey we can't stop them. They have their own opinions. Good for you for bringing it up though. Hiphop/rap will never die, no matter what other people say.

ummm....not sure what the QUESTION was...

People are always afraid of what they don't understand.

The same stuff happens on the wrestling section:

People answer questions with, "who cares wrestling is fake!"

On the rap section people say "Rap is crap!" or " Good rap is an oxymoron.

Is this a statement or a question dude? I for one do not think that Rap & Hip-Hop is music. It's just wanna be music that never quite gets there. Rap is like talkin on the phone and I don't know what Hip-Hop is all about. It's not music dude, how many times do I have to tell all of you? Well anyways, I hope I helped you out with my answer. Did it help? Your ole-pal, Bob.....
