Family force 5 is one of many.

SlipKnot,Mushroomhead,Hell Yeah and Korn.

The Used
Breaking Benjamin
Three Days Grace
Taking Back Sunday

Depends how hard you want to get.
My favorite band is System of a Down but you can't really consider them just plain rock.

Mot?rhead (hard rock / metal)
Steve Miller Band (70's / prog 80's)
Eric Johnson (instrumental)
Santana (60's instrumental, 70's experimental)
Elvis Costello (80's, low BPM)
Clearwater Creedence Revival (60's / 70's)
ZZ Top (80's rock)
Pink Floyd (70's through 80's prog rock)
System of a Down (modern hard rock)

Just a sampler really, there's a lot more than just that.

System of a Down
Slipknot
Flyleaf
Plain White T's (more alternative)
Buckethead
Death Cab For Cutie
My Chemical Romance (get the second album, the 3rd sux)
and etc. If you like these bands you can email me for more.

I am a huge fan of The Ataris. They have 5 full cds out now, and they each seem to fit a different mood for me, and they are all different.
Anywhere but here- is a fast pace cd, with a whole bunch of 2 min. songs. I enjoy listening to it, when my mind is racing, and im happy.

Blue Skies Broken Hearts, next 12 Exits- many peopel say is their best, alot of songs about break ups and stuff. I lissten to it when im in a nuetral mood, neither happy or mad, or sad

End is Forever- This is one of my favs. Songs range from love songs to girls, to angry almost screaming songs. I love to listen to this, when im mad

So Long, Astoria- My favorite cd of all time. I listen to it when im in a good mood, most of the time. The songs are pretty much happy, or the lyrics are tryig to help someone become more happy.

Welcome The Night- Their newest cd, sounds ntothing like the previous stuff. The lead singer went through a bad break up, and nearly OD'd on drugs. He found God, and so this cd is kindof sad, and i listen to it while im sad.

Any way I look at it,. I would call the lead singer, and song writer, Kris Roe, the best lyricist of the time. I think his songs can relate to many people, even though he puts his own storys in the songs. I suggest to check them out.

The Cult (Straight forward highly polished rock and roll)

Led Zeppelin is a must, just dont play Stairway to Heaven around me please

Queen is also a must.

All incarnations of Van Halen except when they had the guy from Extreme singing.

Metallica and Megadeth are both great choices.

WolfMother and Coheed and Canberra are good new bands.

Anthrax played well for a long time for me.

Balck Sabbath as long as you dont neglect the time with Dio.

Rush is some of the most talented musicians ever.

Iron Maiden and judas priest are both represented well in my collection.

and of course...
