Metal, .. is all about the attitude, any metal fan knows that. When singing, go for a more raspy, louder sound within your voice.
Obviously, you don't want to sing softly.. Just give it your all, and have fun.
Good luck. It seems for me, when I sing, the less I worry about how I look when I am singing, or what I sound like,.... the better I am.
