Pretty amazing how they blend their voices. When you listen to each one by themselves, they don't sound as good.

When I saw Paul in concert a couple years ago, he said that he decided to see if they could write the world nastiest rock song, and wrote "Helter Skelter".
He also played this great version of Something on the ukulele and told a story about it being common in England after supper to get them out and sing. He dedicated the song to George, who wrote it, and said that he liked to play the uke, too.
He played the song Blackbird and said they were watching the racial protest marches in the US in the 60;s on TV and saw this black girl, and felt for her plight. In Britain, bird was common slang for girl. Until I heard him do the song, I never got what it was about.
Anyway, I love the Beatles.
I was 3 when they came to the US, my sisters were teenagers, we watched them on TV and I thought they lived under our couch (the sound had to come from somewhere?!?) ;-). I used to make up stories about George hitting Ringo with his guitar. It was a charming story til my sister told it to my bf when I was 16.

The Beatles are one of my favourite bands. If only John Lennon and George Harrison were still alive.

If there was only one concert I could ever see for the rest of my life I'd have to choose the Beatles. Fuk anyone who says the Beatles are terrible. They need to expand their mindset on what good music is.
