My dream is to become a singer and song writer.I am 43, is it to late to become !


Question: I have written 16 songs already, and at the moment I am in an Australian choir.
I would like to know where can I start, if would like an Agent, and a recording studio, and if possable someone that can play the lyric I wrote, and turn it into music.

go for it! I cant help you with the whole agent thing, but if you believe in yourself i'm sure you'll pull through.

Well, you have to look at it from the recording company's point of view. In our youth-oriented, looks-oriented entertainment business, do you think they would want to invest money on someone with longevity in the industry that they can nurture and promote? Or would they want to invest in a middle-aged newbie and take a chance that they would appeal to the consumer and hold up well in the long run? You decide. It also depends what genre of music you are interested in. I certainly think that the country and pop-standards music industry might be more accepting. Go for it and try it. What the heck, what do you have to lose? You'd hate to be thinking about it 10 years later and thinking, I should have at least tried it. Aim for the stars :)
