Blink 182
Rancid
Good Charlotte
Bowling For Soup
Sum 41
All-American Rejects

I see no punk on that list. Pick up some Dead Kennedys, Fugazi, Siege, and Amebix. learn about some real punk.

mayday parade, armor for sleep, dance gavin dance, mae, spill canvas.. more alternative and these are like new/underground bands ;]

Hmm, I don't see anything that fits my definition of punk on your list, but here's some stuff that I listen to and define as punk or the vicinity of punk. Give it a try.

Dead Kennedys
Misfits
Ramones
X
Fugazi
NOFX
Crass
Flogging Molly
Amebix
Dropkick Murphys
The Casualties
The Clash
Black Flag

If you really want to listen to green day, I think their early stuff was better than what they do now.

The bands that you're listing aren't 'punk' in the philosophical or musical sense. Punk rock is a genre dating from 1976 and ending in 1979. Given there are split offs and punk revival bands, such as the UK82 scene for which todays The Casualties are reminiscent of, or todays The Libertines (which have now disbanded due to Pete's insatiable appetite for Cocaine) which remind of '77 punk. The bands you're listening to are highly commercially contrives pieces intended for mass consumption, on the contrary Punk music properly and bands with a 'punk' attitude that don't necessariy fall into that category i.e. The Jam (Mod), New York Dolls (which influenced many '77 bands) Gang of Four (No Wave), and the Specials (2nd Ska) belonged to a niche of society and expressed the concerns of their niche musically. From the band's specific background their integrity was obvious and apparent in their recordings. There is no integrity in the bands listed above, save only Green Day's earlier work which was part of a genuine movement of disassociated California surfer kids.

You sound young, and that's good. If you really enjoy music then I suggest starting from the beginning.

The Who- My Generation, Who Are You, The Who Sells Out
Pink Floyd- Atom Heart Mother, Ummagumma
The Velvet Underground and Nico- Peel Slowly and See
The Velvet Underground- VU, Loaded, (Self Titled)
Iggy and the Stooges- Raw Power
David Bowie- Space Oddity, Ziggy Stardust
New York Dolls- (Self Titled)
Roxy Music- Virginia Plain
The Kinks- Ogden's Nut Gone Flake
(Frank Zappa) The Mothers of Invention- We're Only In It For The Money, Absolutey Free
T-Rex

If these bands don't float your boat you should suck it up and appreciate these movers of alternative music. But if you can't then something more pallatable might be...

The Sex Pistols- Nevermind the Bullocks
The Clash- Give 'em Enought Rope, (Self-Titled)
The Ramones- **anything pretty much, it all sounds the same**
Stiff Little Fingers- Alternative Ulster
The Misfits- Static Age
Slaughter and the Dogs
The Ruts
The Stranglers
blah blah bla

Just go to www.punk77.co.uk

none of that is punk music, but whatever

lol; thats not punk; thats a mixture of generic metalcore, alternative, pop rock, punk-pop and post-grunge.

Lucas and a few other peoplelisted some of my favorite bands(Fugazi and Minor Threat), but they are not the most accessible bands. Start with the Ramones and try the Buzzcocks Descendents, The Offspring, and Rancid. Also follow Alan S.

Other good punk pop
Weezer
Motion City Soundtrack
Jimmy Eat World

For hardcore punk; its better to start with melodic hardcore punk bands like Bad Religion. Then try the songs Suicidal Tendencies-Institutionalized. And then try the bands recommended here.
Minor Threat
Rites of Spring
Fugazi
Embrace(US band)
Black Flag
Bad Brains
Void
The Dead Kennedys
